Question 765463: A student read about Volkswagen packing in the 1960s. She was interested in knowing the maximum number of students that fit into a Volkswagen car. How might you help her estimate an answer in a reasonable way? Explain.

You could find the volume of the car and the volume of an average student. Then you can divide the two to get a somewhat reasonable estimate (round down to the nearest whole number). Things may get uncomfortable though and you may have to lower this estimate to make things more reasonable (ie: there may be places that don't get filled because they're too tiny or cramped)
