Question 762358: please help solve:
7-6|2-2n|=-65
I've tried this: 7-6 = 1 so 1 times the absolute value of 2-2n is equal to negative 65 then i divided the entire equation by one, then i subtracted the 2 from both sides and then divided the -2 by both sides and i wouldn't get even close to the correct answer. And yes i also did a secondary equation as this: 7-6|2-2n|=65

to solve this we use the + and - to remove the absolute value, so we have the following two equations
2-2n = -65 and -(2-2n) = -65
2-2n = -65
-2n = -67
n = 33.5
and
-2+2n = -65
2n = -63
n = -31.5
so n = 33.5, -31.5
