I need to find the value of x and i need the working out for the answer, it is a homework question and if i don't get it i can't move on to the next question. I have tried to simpliefy it multiple times and i can never get it right the +8 and the +17 are tripping me up i can't figure out how to get them to the sum of 91 which is what i need.

The left member is the sum of two fractional terms. If you multiply left member and right member by the lowest common denominator (which is 3*5), then the fractions will be cleared. You can then more easily combine like terms and solve for x.
