Question 671623: -3|4x-9|=24
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20056)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3|4x-9|=24

Divide bth sides by -3 to isolate the absolute value:

  |4x-9|=-8

Absolute values are never negative, they can only be equal to
a positive number or to zero. An absolute value can never
equal to a negative number, such as -8. So this is really a
trick problem to see if you know that fact about absolute
values. There can be no solution to this problem.

Answer: There is no solution.
