P=2L +2W First subtract 2L from both sides
P-2L= 2L-2L + 2W First subtract 2L from both sides
(P-2L)/2 = W/2 Now divide both sides by 2 to get W by itself.
(P-2L)/2 = W This equation has now been solved for W
