Question 668047: what is the awnser to the question " is |x-3| equal to or greater than 2 "
Answer by Adrianne15(25) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|x-3|≥ 2
To solve, get rid of the absolute value signs and then show the two cases:
x-3 ≥ 2 or -(x-3)≥ 2
x≥ 2+3 or -x+3≥ 2
x≥5 or -x≥-1
x≥5 or x≤1 (remember that when you multiply/divide an inequality by a negative number, you switch the sign)
