negative three times absolute value of four plus seven times zero equals ?
We thought that -3 times absolute value of 4 was -12, then add 7 to get 5, then times 0 would be 0, but we were wrong.

-3*|4| + 7*0
7*0 = 0
ABS of 4 = 4
--> -3*4 = -12

Multiply first, then add.
