Answer by tutorcecilia(2152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x(2 - 6^0) - 9x = 5x^0 - /-9 - 6/ -2(x-4^0)
[any number raised to a zero power equals (1)]
.
3x(2 - (1)) - 9x = 5(1) - /-9 - 6/ -2(x-(1))
3x(1) - 9x = 5 - /-15/ -2(x-1) [simplify]
3x - 9x = 5 - (+15) -2x+2)
-6x = 5 +15 -2x+2
-6x = 22 -2x
-6x+2x=22
-4x=22
x=-22/4
.
check by plugging x=-22/4 back into the original equation.
