Question 61986: how would i sovle a problem like
|x|=2???
and

|1- x/3 | ≥ 2/3

Answer by Nate(3500)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
| x | = 2
sqrt(( x )^2) = 2
( x )^2 = 4
x = +- 2
x = 2 and x = -2

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>
|1 - x/3| >= 2/3
sqrt( (1 - x/3)^2 ) >= 2/3
(1 - x/3)^2 >= 4/9
1 - x/3 >= 2/3 or 1 - x/3 <= -2/3
- x/3 >= -1/3 or - x/3 <= -5/3
x <= 1 or x >= 5
