subtracting 4 ___ abs(x - 2) = 2x - 4

removing abs ___ x - 2 = 2x - 4 ___ AND ___ x - 2 = -(2x - 4)

x - 2 = 2x - 4 ___ 2 = x

x - 2 = -(2x - 4) ___ x - 2 = 4 - 2x ___ 3x = 6 ___ x = 2
