Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3X+4=12 OR SUBTRACTING 4 FROM BOTH SIDES WE GET 3X+4-4=12-4 OR 3X=8 NOW
DIVIDE BOTH SIDES BY 3 WE GET (3X)/3=8/3 OR X=8/3 OR X=2 2/3
PROOF 3(8/3)+4=12 OR 8=4=12 OR 12=12
