So when asked to find the absolute value of a fraction, I was lost.
I dont exactly remember how to do it. But the problem I was given:
-37/36?
If you can explain to me, exactly how to do this it will be greatly appreciated.

Any value inside an absolute is positive, |-37/36| = +37/36
