Question 50529: I do not know how to use absolute values signs on my computer, but here is my question
The absolute value of 3x+5 >-11 the 3x+5 is the only thing in the absolute value

Answer by rapaljer(4671)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|3x+5|>-11

To type an absolute value, just use the vertical line (just below the backspace!) on the keyboard.

An absolute value of any quantity must ALWAYS be greater or equal to zero. Therefore, no matter what x is, the quantity within the absolute value must be greater than -11, so the answer is all real values. In interval notation, this would be (-inf, inf).
