By the definition of absolute value: if 4x+5>=0, and
, if4x+5<0 Thus we will solve two equations:
1)If x>=-5/4 we get :4x+5=2x+4 <=>2x=-1 <=>x=-1/2.
2)If x<-5/4 we get:-4x-5=2x+4 <=>6x=-9 <=>x=-3/2.
