Question 48360: Solve the absolute value equation.
|x – ¼| = |(1/2)x -3/4|

Answer by Nate(3500)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|x - 1/4| = |x/2 - 3/4|
x - 1/4 = x/2 - 3/4 and x - 1/4 = -x/2 + 3/4
4x - 1 = 2x - 3 and 4x - 1 = -2x + 3
2x = -2 and 6x = 4
x = -1 and x = 2/3
