Question 40274:
Which number has the largest and smallest absolute value
-2,6,-1,0,3,5

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello!
The "absolute value" operation removes the negative sign from a number. So, for example, the absolute value of -2 is 2. The absolute value of 2 is also 2. So in order to find the smallest absolute value in your list, just remove all the negative signs you see, and then simply find the smalles number.
After removing the negative signs, your list becomes:
2, 6, 1, 0, 3, 5
Clearly, the smallest absolute value is 0, and the largest one is 6.
I hope this helps!
