Hello,
First we want to subtract 10 from both sides to get:
4|n+8|=36
Now divide both sides by 4:
|n+8|=9
This is now written as 2 equations:
n+8=9
n+8=-9
Solve for n in each:
n=1
n=-17
Make sense?
