1. Add -7 to both sides

2. Multiply both sides by -1

3. Set the contents of the absolute value bars equal to the RHS and solve.

4. Set the contents of the absolute value bars equal to the opposite of the RHS and solve.

The solution set will consist of the two values derived in steps 3 and 4.
