Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since |3x+2| is 14, the 3x+2 must be either 14 or -14
So you have two equations to solve:
1st: 3x+2=14
3x=12
x=4
2nd: 3x+2=-14
3x=-12
x=-4
So x=4 or x=-4
