>> you can't add 10 to 20 because it's "20 TIMES |x-5|"
To solve this equation 10+20|x-5|=90 :
1) minus 10 from both sides >>20|x-5| = 80
2) divide 20 from both sides >>|x-5| = 4
x = 1 or 9
