Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4|-5x + -2| + -6 = 182
Add 6 to both sides
4|-5x + -2| = 182 + 6
4|-5x + -2| = 188
Divide both sides by 4
|-5x + -2| =
|-5x + -2| = 47
Two solutions when you remove the absolutes
-5x + -2 = 47
add 2 to both sides
-5x = 49
x =
x = -9.8
and
-5x + -2 = -47
-5x = -47 + 2
-5x = -45
x =
x = +9
