Take 2x and five and add them together. Divide the result by eight. Add 3x. Subtract the quantity eight times 2x. The result is equal to 100 minus 9x. Find the value of x. Show work.

Take 2x and five and add them together.
2x+5
Divide the result by eight.

Add 3x.

Subtract the quantity eight times 2x.

The result is equal to 100 minus 9x.

Simplifying
Multiplying throughout qith 8

Subtracting 5 on both sides

Adding 72x on both sides

Dividing by -30 throughout
X = -26.5
