Question 249506: This is multiple choice and so once I have the answer I have to choose the right graph. )2x+1) is less than 5. What should the graph look like?
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
equation is:
2x+1 < 5
subtract 1 from both sides to get:
2x < 4
divide both sides by 2 to get:
x < 2
your graph would be a vertical line at x = 2 with a shaded area to the left of it.
this implies that any value of x < 2 is valid.
y can be any value as long as the value of x is < 2
that's why the whole area would be shaded.
