The Franklin family consists of 4 people. It costs %15.25 per person each week for groceries. If groceries cost 3% more this month compared to last month, then find the total cost for groceries this month.

(15.25*4*4.3)1.03=262.30=$270.17 is the increased grocery bill for the 4 people for 4.3 weeks.

There is a typo and I will assume the typo is % for $ sign.
if it cost $15.25 per person last month and it costs 3% more this month
then it costs .03 (15.25) more this month person
or it cost 15.25 + 3% more
1.03 is 3% plus the original 100% =100%+3&=103% or 1.03
get out your calculator
1.03*15.25*4=$62.83 for 4 people this month
