Question 212926: I have done this problem many times and can't find the solution!
Michael tosses a horseshoe at a stake 30 ft. away. The horseshoe lands no more than 3 ft. from the stake. write an absolute value inequality that represents the range of distances that the horseshoe travels. Solve the inequality.
Thanks for all the help!
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How about this: Distance traveled =
In order to solve for x, you must ADD +30 to the left, middle, and right part of this inequality. It's like having 3 grandchildren! If you do something for 1 of them, you had better be prepared to do it for ALL 3 of them to keep things in balance!!
