Question 16227: Please help me solve this problem my whole entier class is having trouble with this lesson Thank you 3/4 (24 - 8b) = 2 (5b + 1)
Answer by elima(1433)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/4 (24 - 8b) = 2 (5b + 1)
First of all distribute on left side;
b=b, simplify
18-6b
Now the right side distribute:
2*5b+2*1=10b+2
But the equation together;
18-6b=10b+2
Subtract 18 from both sides, and subtract 10b from both sides;
18-6b-18-10b=10b+2-18-10b
-16b=-16
Divide each side by -16
b=1
Hope the class understands;
=)
