I don't see any X, do you mean solve for y?
First, divide both sides by 5.
Remove the absolute-value bars and write the two equations:
or Now solve each of these.
Subtract 9 from both sides.
or
Subtract 9 from both sides.

In case you really did mean X, then just replace the y with X.
