Question 156454: Im not sure what it comes under but its called "Error analysis" the directions say describe and correct the error in the statement. Now the problem is the numbers \-3.4/ (the lines are straight for the first one.), -(-8), -/-0.2/ (these are staight too.), and 0.87 are positive numbers. How do i find out which is positive?
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Now the problem is the numbers \-3.4/ (the lines are straight for the first one.), -(-8), -/-0.2/ (these are staight too.), and 0.87 are positive numbers
---------------------------
|-3.4| means "the distance between zero and -3.4
The value is 3.4.
----------------------
-(-8) = 8
----------------------
-|-0.2| = -0.2
----------------------
0.87 = 0.87
----------------------
They are all positive except -|-0.02|
