What I know so far:
First you add 3 to each side; then you have: |9x|>6
Then you divide each side by 9
Then I get confused .
Then the answer choices are
A) x>1 or <-(1/3)
B) x<-1 or x>1
C) x<1 and x<-1
Can you please explain the answer too.

...You forgot to add 3 to the right side.

For absolute value problems, you actually have two problems to solve.
Whenever you have the absolute value symbol, you should break the problem into two separate problems.
The first is the positive value of the argument, the term inside the absolute value lines.

The second is the negative value of the argument.

Then solve each of these to get your answer.
1. ...Divide both sides by 9.
