Question 141982: explain resoning to say that 1/7 and -1/7 are opposites?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/7 is a certain distance to the right of zero on a number line;
-1/7 is the same distance from zero but to the left.
In that sense they are opposite.
