Question 13871: show me steps to solve this 8b-4=5b+8
Answer by elima(1433) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8b-4=5b+8
First we want to get all like terms on the same side.
So we will subtract 5b from both sides, and add 4 to both sides;
8b-4-5b+4=5b+8-5b+4
That cancels out the 5b on the right and 4 on left.
We are left with;
8b-5b=8+4
3b=12
Now we will divide both sides by 3;
b=4
Hope you understand
