    a)  x-3 > 0;  therefore,  |x-3| = x-3;


    b)  x+2 > 0;  therefore,  |x+2| = x+2;


    c)  x-5 < 0;  therefore,  |x-5| = -(x-5).


THEREFORE,


    y = |x-3| + |x+2| - |x-5| = (x-3) + (x+2) + (x-5) = 3x - 6.      ANSWER
