Question 999585: A cuboidal water tank is 10mlong,8m wide and 5mhigh
The watet tank contains water upto a depth of 3m.
how many more litres of water can it hold
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the capacity of the tank is 10 * 8 * 5 = 400 cubic meters.
the tank is filled to 10 * 8 * 3 = 240 cubic meters.
there is room for 400 - 240 = 160 cubic meters more.
1 cubic meter is equal to 1000 liters.
160 cubic meters is equal to 160 * 1000 = 160,000 liters.
your solution is that there is room for 160,000 more liters of water.
