In the rectangular tank (3'long x 4'wide x3'high), each inch of height contains:
For each inch in height the tank contains 1 cubic foot of water.
From the square tank:
The 3 foot cube contains 27 cubic feet of water, so the water would be 27 inches high in the rectangular tank.
