Question 963448: how many litres can be held by a cylindrical can 120cm in diameter and 350cm high
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the can is 120 cm in diameter and 350 cm high.
the radius of the can is 60 cm.
the volume of the can is pi * r^2 * h which is equal to pi * 60^2 * 350 which is equal to 1260000 * pi cubic cm which is equal to 3958406.744 cubic cm.
1 liter is worth 1000 cubic cm, so divide 3958406.744 by 1000 and you get 3958.406744 liters.
