Question 935695: The cylindrjcal storage tank has a height of 12 feet. If the tank
holds 900 cuic feetof liquid, what is the approximate raduis of the base?

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
V = pi*r^2*h

900 = pi*r^2*12

900/(12pi) = r^2

r = sqrt( 900/(12pi) )

r = 4.886025

The approximate radius is about 4.886025 feet
