a. If one inch of rain fell over one acre, how many cubic inches of water would that be? How many cubic feet?
b. If one cubic foot of water weighs approximately 62 pounds, what is the weight, in tons, of one inch of rain over one acre of ground?
c. The weight of one gallon of water is about 8.3 pounds. A rainfall of one inch over one acre of ground means about how many gallons of water?

The questions force you to first look for unit conversions.

1 acre = 66 feet by 660 feet = 43560 square feet

1 inch of rain water over 1 acre implies that first 1 inch is for height over the acre.

CUBIC FEET.
