Question 894218: If you have an area that is 12feet long and 2 feet wide in which to store your full cord of firewood how high will the stack be? A full cord of wood is a stack 8x4x4 feet or 8x8x2 feet. I took 12x2 to get my area, but now I'm not sure what to do. Hope you can help.

First find the volume of the cord.

Now you have the area,

So then to get the height, divide volume by area.
