Question 888587: I'm making a bear proof food container with pvc pipe, I would like to compare its volume to a commercial container. It has an interior diameter of 4 inches and is 24 inches long, haw many cubic inches is that? Thank You
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
volume of a cylinder is equal to pi*r^2*h
pi = 3.141592654...
r = half the diameter = 2 inches
height = 24 inches.
volume is equal to 3.141592654 * 2^2 * 24 = 301.5928947 cubic inches.
