Question 853393: if a cuboid shaped carton of milk (dimensions: H=10,L=6,W=4) holds 240cubic cm of milk how many milk cartons do I need to buy to get 3 litres of milk.
my working
1cc=1ml
therefore 240cc=240ml
ml to l = (divide by 100)
i.e. 240 Divided by 100= 2.40 litres
so the answer is 2 cartons of milk

Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
there are 1000 cubic centimeters per litre.
if the container holds 240 cubic centimeters of milk, then it holds .24 liters of milk because 240 / 1000 = .24.

if you want to know how many milk cartons you will need to get 3 liters of milk, you would divide 3 by .24 and you will get 12.5 cartons of milk.
you would probably round that up to 13 and you would have half a carton left over.
