The sides of the square piece are length x
Cutting 4 cm from each corner leaves x-8 cm sides of the box.
Volume of the box is
(x - 8)*(x - 8)*4 = 100

x - 8 = 5
x = 13
------
Vol = 5*5*4 = 100 cc
