Question 782680: The radius of a metallic cylinder is 3 cm and its height is 5 cm. It is melted and moulded into small cones, each of height 1 cm and base radius 1mm. The number of such cones formed is ?
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Volume of cylinder/ volume of cone = number of cones
Volume of cylinder
radius =30mm
height = 50 mm
v= pi * 30*30*50
Volume of cone
radius = 1mm
height = 10mm
V= 1/3 *pi*r^2h
= 1/3 * pi * 1^2*10*10

=1350 cones
