Answer by wilft1(217)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
volume of a cylinder is pi r squared x height,
soo..
radius is 1/2 the diameter, so 1/2 of 5 is 2.5...... 2.5 x 2.5 is 6.25
3.14 x 6.25 x H = 125
combine like terms...
19.625 x H = 125
divide both sides by 19.625
h = 6.369426752
check your math 3.14 x 6.25 x 6.369426752 = 125

Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5 inch round = a circumference of 5 inches
Circumference = Pi * diameter
Diameter = Circumference/Pi
Diameter = 5/Pi
Diameter = 1.6 inches
Radius = 0.8 inches.
Volume of cylinder = Pi * r^2 * h
125 = Pi * 0.8^2 * height
Height = 125/ Pi * 0.8^2
Height = 62.2 inches.
Hope this helps.
