Question 753903: The volume of a square pyramid is 250 cubic feet. What is the height of the pyramid if one side of the base is 5 feet? Can you provide the formula?
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Volume of a square based pyramid =
1/3 * Area of base * height
If one side of base = 5ft
then area of base = 25 (5 * 5) ft^2
Vol = 1/3 * area of base * height
250 = 1/3 * 25 * height
Height = 250/ 1/3 * 25
Height = 30ft
Hope this helps
