Question 616609: A rectangle is drawn on a coordinate plane so that three vertices are located at these coordinates: (-5, 2), (5, 2), and (-5, -3) What are the coordinates of the fourth vertex of the rectangle?

You could either draw it on graph paper, but the easiest way is to look at the numbers that you have:
-5, 2
5, 2
-5, -3
because is is a rectangle you are going to have two of each value as you will have two vertices along each line. For example you have two 2's on the y axis and two -5's on the x axis. So you have to look at the two values that you only have one of yet and this will give you the fourth coordinate.
So you only have one 5 on the x-axis and only one -3 on the y. So you need one 5 on the x and one -3 on the y,
hence:
5, -3
