SOLUTION: Volume of a shere. V=4/3 X Pi X radius cubed. Radius=12. I get 4/3 X (12) cubed =2304. When I take 2304 times pi, I get7234.56. It says round to nearest whole #. So I entered 7235.

Question 600031: Volume of a shere. V=4/3 X Pi X radius cubed. Radius=12. I get 4/3 X (12) cubed =2304. When I take 2304 times pi, I get7234.56. It says round to nearest whole #. So I entered 7235. It says answer is 7238. I can't figure where that answer comes from. Thanks for your help.
Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It's very simple...
For pi you used 3.14
However, that is only an approximation.
Use the "pi" key on your calculator instead
which should give you greater accuracy.
If you don't have a "pi" key, try using the following for pi:
3.1415927
