It is not possible. Your teacher is completely and utterly wrong.
I suggest lokking at www.online conversion.com for accurate conversion factors.

The volume of a cubic millimeter is 1/1000 that of a cubic centimeter. I think someone is confused. The volume of a cubic inch is about 16.4 times that of a cubic centimeter. Again, someone is confused.
