Question 308577: here is my question for someone to answer.. iam not a student but trying to figure out a problem and can not find a answer anywhere else..
if a tank is 60.ft long-x-15.ft tall -x-15.ft wide ..how many sqaure feet is the inside tank for building ..i trying to see if still under 1800 sqft or over the fact..

Answer by rapaljer(4671)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Volume of a rectanglar tank is L*W*H, which in this case is 60*15*15= 13500 cubic feet. By the way, volume is given in cubic feet. Square feet is for area or perhaps surface area.

I'm not sure the meaning of your 1800 sq.ft. Maybe you should reply to this by way of sending me an Email at rapaljer@seminolestate.edu or just send me a Thank You note to give me more details. Then I can respond to your Email or I can add a note to the solution I've posted.

I think you were asking about the surface area of the tank. The surface area of the top of the tank is 60*15= 900 square feet.
