Question 272014: I need to calculate the volume of the top of a hemisphere at various heights of the hemisphere. I have an equation if filling a "hemisphere" bowl but need an equation for filling the same hemisphere bowl that is upside down. This is part of a larger problem calculating the volume of a cylinder with hemisphere ends.

Do you mean the volume of liquid in a sphere based on level? and a cylinder with its axis horizontal?
