I am not understanding how to get the answer. a box having the dimensions 14 cm by 8.0 cm by 3.0 cm is filled with water. What mass does this amount of water have?
---------
Find the volume:
V = l*w*h = 14*8*3
vol = 336 cc (cubic centimeter)
Water's density is 1 gram/cc, so its mass is 336 grams

Here's how to proceed. If you can't get the answer, let me know
First find the volume of water in the box

Once you have that, you need to know the density of water.
Look here for that --> http://www.thermexcel.com/english/tables/eau_atm.htm
I suspect you are studying density and have the "value" for water handy -- probably 1g/cm^3
Now that you have a volume and a density, all you need to do is use those two values to solve for the mass

One thing to watch out. As you get more of these types of problems, make sure the units in the mass match the units of volume. If they don't match, you'll need to convert to get the correct units
